Our Approach

The Bison model

Three kinds of ownership, one fund.

01Current production

Producing

Non-operated interests in wells already on line. Revenue generally begins once an interest is acquired, subject to the operator’s payment cycle, rather than waiting on new drilling.

02Near-term production

Drilling

Drilled-but-uncompleted wells (DUCs) and permitted locations (PUDs) behind established Permian operators. First production typically follows within months, on the operator’s schedule, and drilling costs may produce first-year deductions for eligible investors.

03Long-term ownership

Leasehold Acreage

Leasehold held by production or expected to be developed over time, giving the fund flexibility to sell the acreage or participate in new wells and their initial flush production.

Built for a return on your money, not just a return of your money.

Horizontal wells typically produce most of their lifetime oil in the first few years. A fund that owns only wellbores distributes that early production and is left with a declining tail. Bison pairs producing and near-term wells with leasehold acreage intended to provide future drilling inventory and residual value after the first wells decline. Acreage value depends on future development and commodity prices.
